Our story

From Auvergne to the Prairies

In 1908, Father Albert-Marie Royer led families from France to the plains of southwest Saskatchewan. The village they founded took the name Ponteix; their heritage took root.

More than a century later, Les Auvergnois de Ponteix carry that memory forward and bring it into dialogue with today's francophonie, plural and welcoming.
